Planning a day in Provence

A day with a chauffeur is built around three things: where you start, where you stop and when you want to be back. Your chauffeur collects you from your hotel, waits at each stop and drives you back; the duration is set in the quote.

  • Fewer stops: two or three in the same area leave time to walk and have lunch; five turn the day into a drive.
  • Summer in the Calanques: from 1 June to 30 September, access to the massifs depends on the wildfire risk level, published the evening before. What to know before you go.
  • The Route des Crêtes: between Cassis and La Ciotat, it is closed to motor vehicles every Sunday and, from June to September, on days rated red for wildfire risk.
  • July in Aix: evenings at the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence are best planned early; tickets are booked directly with the Festival.
  • Lavender: flowering dates vary from year to year; if the lavender is the reason for your trip, check the dates before fixing the day.
  • Arrival day: a transfer from the station or the airport can include a stop on the way, if the timing allows.

Arriving in Provence

By air, by train or by sea, your arrival is prepared like the rest of your stay. See transfers from Marseille Provence Airport, a chauffeur at Saint-Charles or Aix TGV station and a chauffeur at the cruise port.
