The rule, plainly stated
The Federation does not operate vehicles itself. The cars belong to its members, chauffeurs and chauffeur-hire operators, and each journey is planned with the vehicle that suits it.
Vehicles are provided by the Federation’s members according to your request and their availability; the vehicle assigned is stated in your quote. No vehicle is reserved until you have accepted the quote and paid, under our terms and conditions.
The models named on this page are examples of what each category covers, not a closed list. If a particular model matters to you, say so in your request: the quote confirms what has been arranged.
Saloons: Mercedes S-Class, BMW 7 Series
A saloon is the usual choice for one or two travellers: a transfer from Marseille Provence Airport or Saint-Charles station, a business meeting in Aix, dinner on the Corniche. For example: Mercedes S-Class, BMW 7 Series.

Illustrative photos: the vehicle for your journey is the one stated in your quote.
With three passengers and luggage for a longer stay, it is worth talking it through: depending on the cases, an SUV or a van may be more comfortable.
SUVs: Range Rover, Cadillac Escalade
A higher seating position and a larger boot: an SUV suits stays where luggage matters, drives out to country houses and hill villages, and small families travelling with plenty of cases.
For example: Range Rover, Cadillac Escalade. Interior space and boot size vary a great deal from one model to another, which is why we ask how many bags you have, and how big they are.
Families and groups: Mercedes V-Class, minibus
When a saloon is too small, a van such as the Mercedes V-Class can keep a family and its luggage together in one vehicle. For a group, a team or a delegation: a minibus, or several vehicles coordinated around the programme.
For a trade fair at the Parc Chanot or a reception, coordinating several vehicles is planned in advance: see our chauffeurs for your events.
What matters on board
Comfort depends less on a list of features than on the right vehicle for the journey. Three things make the difference:
- Discretion. A low-key arrival, a pick-up point away from the crowds, conversations that stay in the car: tell us what matters to you. Our terms and conditions include a duty of discretion about your identity and your travel.
- Comfort. Room for everyone, with no suitcase at your feet: first and foremost a matter of choosing the right category of vehicle for the number of passengers.
- Luggage. How many bags you have, and how big, often decides the vehicle. Mention anything bulky: golf bags, pushchairs, trunks, trade-fair equipment.
A particular need, a child seat, a preferred model, a stop on the way? Put it in your request: the quote states what is provided.
Choosing the right vehicle
A few pointers, to be confirmed together depending on your luggage and your plans:
- One or two travellers, ordinary luggage
- Saloon
- Three or four travellers, or a lot of luggage
- SUV or van, depending on the cases
- A family with children and a pushchair
- A van such as the Mercedes V-Class
- A group, a team, a delegation
- A minibus or several coordinated vehicles
- A day touring the villages
- The category that suits your party, with a chauffeur by the hour for a few hours or the whole day
Changing the vehicle category after the quote is possible subject to availability; like any change, it may lead to a revised quote. Requested less than sixteen days before departure and not accepted, it is treated as a cancellation, under our terms and conditions, which is why it pays to give passengers and bags in full from the start.
Sea and air: the operator’s aircraft or yacht
For a flight by jet or helicopter, or a day on a yacht, the aircraft or vessel belongs to the operator chosen for your request, which carries out the service under its own responsibility. If you wish, the journeys on the ground, before and after, are entrusted to a chauffeur who is a member of the Federation: see yacht, helicopter and jet.
