How these articles are written
Each article draws on official or reference sources: national park, prefectures, cities, tourist offices, organisers. They are cited at the end of the article, with the date we consulted them, and each section refers to the ones it relies on.
Rules change, and so do dates. Each article shows the date it was last updated; those that follow an annual calendar are reviewed every year. If in doubt, the official source prevails.
